Our Story

Rooted in Craft.

We're a newly launched workshop, and every piece that leaves it carries the same promise: made by hand, built to last.

Elite Wood Works

Who We Are

A Workshop Born
From Passion.

Elite Wood Works is a newly started studio built on a simple belief: furniture should be made by hand, from real timber, to last far longer than anything mass-produced. We're just getting started, but every piece that leaves our workshop is held to the same standard from day one.

We work exclusively with responsibly sourced wood, and every joint is cut with care — no shortcuts, no compromises. As a new company, we're building our reputation one piece at a time, and we intend to earn it.

Before You Ask

Questions, Answered Honestly

If something isn't covered here, write to us. We don't have a FAQ bot — a person will reply.

Every piece is made to order in our workshop. Smaller items — side tables, chairs, stools — usually take 6–8 weeks. Larger commissions like dining tables, wardrobes, or bed frames run 10–14 weeks. We'll give you a firm timeline before you confirm, and we don't rush the drying or finishing stages, ever.

Our core range uses sheesham, teak, and mango wood sourced from certified suppliers. For specialty commissions we also work in walnut, oak, and reclaimed timber. We're happy to discuss your preference during consultation — each species has its own grain character and we'll help you choose what suits your space.

Yes, and we encourage it. Seeing the wood in hand, watching the joinery, and understanding the finishing process gives you a much better sense of what you're commissioning. Workshop visits are by appointment, Tuesday through Saturday. Write to us and we'll arrange a slot.

Every piece is checked for solid construction before it leaves our workshop. If you notice a joinery issue, frame defect, or any problem with the core construction after delivery, contact us and we'll make it right — no questions asked. This doesn't cover surface wear from regular use, which is normal and, honestly, part of what makes solid wood beautiful over time.

We use linseed oil base coats followed by shellac or beeswax top finishes depending on the piece. No synthetic lacquers, no polyurethane. All our finishes are non-toxic once cured, which typically takes 72 hours after delivery. The smell fully dissipates within a week.

We've delivered to 18 cities across India so far. For long-distance commissions, pieces are disassembled where possible and packed in padded crates we build ourselves. Our team supervises installation at the destination. Freight costs are quoted separately based on location and piece dimensions.

We can get very close. Bring photos, measurements, and if possible a small sample of the wood or finish you want to match. We'll do a test swatch on the same species and share it with you before starting the piece. An exact match is not always possible with natural materials, but a considered match almost always is.

Dust regularly with a dry cloth. Once or twice a year, apply a thin coat of beeswax or linseed oil to nourish the surface. Keep the piece away from direct afternoon sunlight and heating vents — wood moves with humidity and heat, and that's normal. We send a printed care card with every delivery.
